House Sitting Services Overview...

Full-time, live-in, loving care and protection for your pets and home while you are away.

I am a full-time live-in house sitter which means I will be in your house or on your property for at least 16 hours per day and I strive never be away for more than 4 consecutive hours.

I do not visit your house a few times a day to take care of your pets or check on the property, I live there - that way your home is always occupied and protected, and your pets can stick to their entire normal routine (with extras of course - this is their vacation as well).

Barring emergencies, my house sitting service includes a minimum 16 hours in the home each day. While looking after your home I will strive to never be away from it for more than 4 consecutive hours on my own business or 8 hours total in any 24 hour period. (This includes food shopping, running errands, walking your dogs or other outdoor pet care activities for your pets.)

I will never take on more than one house sitting contract at a time - so I will not be leaving your home to look after other people's houses or pets - my time belongs to you, your pets and your home.

Pets - My normal house sitting service includes full-time loving care for up to three household pets not in cages

This includes but is not limited to dogs and cats, rabbits, ferrets, pet goats, birds, lizards and any other pet that is allowed to roam freely and is not caged at all times.

Also included in the house sitting service are 2 cages with small animals or birds

Unless instructed otherwise, the cages will be cleaned twice a week with food and water refreshed twice a day.

Fish in an aquarium can be included as one of the cages

I will turn on and off aquarium lights, feed your fish and check the filter, water temperature etc., per your instructions. If you are gone for a long time and require me to clean a small aquarium, I will need detailed instructions and all the necessary equipment to do so.

As well as the 3 free-roaming pets and the 2 cages, I will also take care of indoor house plants.

So you don't have to come home to dead plants that your neighbors forgot to water

Sorry, no people

I do not normally accept house sitting contracts where a family member is left at home or a friend, lodger or tennant will be staying in the house at the same time. Even if they are fully capable of taking care of themselves. This rule can be broken for short term emergency situations - please contact me about your specific situation or need.

Other general services included in house-sitting -

put trash and recycling out for collection - Please provide me with the collection days for each type including any specific instructions such as contaier type or where to place it for collection.
collect mail, newspapers and packages - I will bring the mail in from your mailbox each day, pick up the newspapers and save them for your return and receive any packages you have coming (please let me know if you are expecting a delivery so I can make sure to watch for it - and not be out walking the dog or running an errand).
clear answerring machine messages - I will not answer your home phone unless specifically instructed to do so but I will clear your messages daily form your answerring machine if you wish - or I can leave them for you to pick up remotely if you prefer.
